🧾 But… why does it cost $30?
That $30 powers the PTO’s entire operating budget — from our website and accountant to essential school programs. Without enough memberships, we’d have to pull from fundraiser dollars (meant for enrichment, major philanthropy & fun), increase the ticket price to events, or ask families to cover some costs as we did in the past.
🤔 Isn’t fundraising enough?
Actually, no — fundraisers pay for extras: bonus author visits, extra enrichment, bigger events, more teacher reimbursement, field day bouncy house, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more. Membership keeps the lights on so those extras stay extra.
🚸 Why pay for more than one PTO?
Each PTO is a separate nonprofit. Joining WIS PTO supports WIS kids and programs — just like your HES/WMS/WHS membership only benefits those schools.
🙋 Do I have to volunteer or attend meetings?
Nope! Membership ≠ obligation. It’s support, plain and simple — but if you want to get involved, we’d love to have you.
