We hope everyone had a fantastic Week 2! 

If you missed our first edition of The Whistle, click here to catch up! It includes a welcome letter from our PTO President, photos from our back-to-school efforts, and a more in-depth introduction to the Whistle.

We want to make the Whistle a one-stop-shop for all WIS Parents. If you have something you'd like included in the Whistle, just fill out this form by end of day Wednesday of each week.

If you want to keep receiving the Whistle beyond October 3, please sign up for your PTO Membership today. (Remember, no volunteering is required and all donations directly support school initiatives!)

Arrive at BTSN early so you can shop all the amazing new swag we have - in Adult sizes too!

Since you’ll already be out and have a sitter, join fellow grade parents for food, drinks, and fun at Milestone! This event is organized by the PTO but not subsidized. You'll be able to easily pay the waitress for your food/drink,

Opt in to share your contact info with Room Parents, other class families, and Grade Coordinators. Being on the list will keep you informed about class events, PTO news, and makes it easier to connect with other families. We encourage everyone to participate—it's a great resource!

As Communications Chair, you’ll manage fun updates on social media, help with the weekly Whistle, and keep our community connected and excited about PTO events.

📸 PTO Photographer
Always snapping photos? As PTO Photographer, you’ll capture special moments at school events for use in our social media, newsletters, and yearbook—no pro skills needed, just enthusiasm and a good eye!

🎡 Memorial Day Fair Co-Chair or Committee Member
Be part of Weston’s favorite tradition and biggest fundraiser! With a full playbook ready, you’ll join a fun, social team to help bring the Memorial Day Fair—the highlight of the year—to life.

Enjoy coffee and conversation with the PTO Executive Board, Principal D’Amico, and parents from your grade. It’s a casual way to ask questions, share ideas, and build community.

We had a full house of nearly 50 WIS/HES parents for Room Parent Training! Your PTO Room Parents are excited to meet their class at BTSN and help the teacher organize a great year of field trips, class parties, and an endless supply of tissues and Clorox wipes! Thank you Ellen Crafts, PTO Grade Coordinator, for organizing and leading the training for WIS!

Dive into old photos from the Weston History & Culture Center archives and uncover the stories they tell. Learn about the early days of photography, explore photos from over 150 years ago, and use clues to create a story about these images from the past. Through discussion and hands-on activities, this class will inspire you to see photography in a new light.

No prior experience is required. Bring a camera, tablet or smartphone to capture photos. Please let us know if you don’t have one and we will provide one to share.

For Weston’s 238th Founders Day, we’re marking the moment with guitars, good vibes, and a town-wide sing-along like nothing you’ve seen before.

Join us for Strum and Sing: Weston’s Musical Jamboree on Saturday, October 11 at 4:00 PM at Town Hall Park—where dozens of our town’s acoustic guitarists will accompany Town residents in song. It’s going to be joyful and pure old school Weston magic.

Whether you can shred, strum, or simply sway to the beat, come be part of this one-of-a-kind community event, brought to you by the Weston Commission for the Arts.
