Third-grade families, get ready for a fun evening under the lights! Join us for games, music, kickball, pizza, treats, giveaways, and plenty of relaxed time to connect with new and old friends.

Please note: This is not a drop-off event. We encourage parent and caregiver participation in whatever way works for you — jump into a game, cheer from the sidelines, or simply hang out and enjoy the evening with other third-grade families.

It takes lots of helping hands to make Book Fair week a success, and we’d love to have you join us! Each volunteer shift is one hour, and you’re welcome to sign up for as many shifts or days as work for your schedule.

A few important notes when choosing your shifts:

📚 Please do not volunteer during your child’s class shopping time. We want you to be able to enjoy that experience together! We recommend choosing a volunteer shift before or after your child’s scheduled visit.

❤️ Want to shop with your child’s class? No sign-up is needed! Simply come to WIS during your child’s scheduled shopping time, and Security will sign you in when you arrive.

⏰ Volunteer shifts are one hour. Feel free to choose multiple shifts throughout the week—we appreciate every hour you can give!

The Book Fair is an amazing fundraiser for our school, but it’s also a special week of books, reading, and WIS community. Thank you for helping us make it a great one!

We encourage families to pre-order photos through Coffee Pond. Ordering ahead is risk-free: if you’re unhappy with your photos for any reason, you can choose a retake or receive a refund.

 Even better, a portion of every order placed on or before Picture Day is returned to WIS to support our school’s fundraising efforts!

Weston Middle School Library or Livestream

At the September 1 BOE Special Meeting, Part 3 of the Year in Review highlighted student performance and progress toward the District’s 2025–26 Academic Goals, including standardized assessment data in Math, ELA, and Science achievement and growth.

The presentation also previewed key focus areas for the 2026–27 school year and celebrated an exciting achievement: Weston High School was ranked #3 in Connecticut and #235 nationally in the U.S. News & World Report 2026–27 Best High Schools rankings!

What’s Next for Weston Public Schools? 

At the first regular BOE meeting of the new school year, District leaders and school principals will present the 2026–27 District & School Improvement Plans, outlining priorities and areas of focus for the year ahead.

The Board of Selectmen, Board of Education, and Board of Finance will come together for a special joint meeting focused on the Middle School project.

At the last Tri-Board meeting on June 17, First Selectwoman Nestor outlined next steps, including the creation of an advisory committee with representatives from all three Boards and plans for additional joint meetings as the project moves forward.

Tune in to hear the latest updates, learn what progress has been made since June, and understand what comes next for this important community project.

We are encouraged to hold joy, appreciation, and sorrow simultaneously. Come join us, to celebrate the Shamanic tradition of honoring the natural world and our ancestors as we transition from the season of light into the more contemplative and reflective seasons of darkness.
